Split Core CTs

02/12/2007 5:00 PM

I am looking for split core CT for 15kv outside installation.

1. Is there a maximum limit for the hole diameter (my cable is OD is 1.6")

2. I could not find a supplier for 15kv split core, since the cable is insulated for 15kv can I use the 600V class CT.

3. The ratio I am looking for is 600:5 or 600:1 Please let me know if you know a supplier for this application in Canada or US.

Hi,

I'm not sure but I think LEM and Honeywell might have some.

Try there.

Take a look at split-flex Rogowski current sensors... the way of the future!

ONE split-flex core can be configured for TWO (or more) different FSDs. eg. for metering and the other for protection (a third could be configured to read mA leakage currents). They are nice and linear as the cores don't saturate. The down side is that the 5A output is not available, and an auxiliary supply is needed.
