Copper Bus Bar Size Selection.

Sir/Madam,

I want to install 300/5 amps current transformers in 11 KV system.

I want to know the thickness of copper bus bars to be used for the same. The width of the bus bar I am having is s 40 mm. Please let me know the thickness.

The C.T. you want to install will already have an opening to accomodate a specific range of bus bar thicknesses (and widths).

If you already have the CT, then check it to see if it will allow the said bus bar you have on the panel/switch gear.

If not yet purchased and you want to select, then select from suppliers the appropriate model to suit your bus bar.

Also, the CT model must be rated to be fitted on the 11kV range.
