I found neutral gray linear iodine polarizer regular contrast in sheets and roll form. My useage is for photographic purposes. I put the polarizer sheet on a window. I then put a polarizer filter on the camera and now I can control the intensity of the light viewed through the window. My problem is finding the polarizer sheet that has no adhesive, comes in roll form minimium length 3 meters and minimium width of 1 meter. Cost is an issue ,the products that I have found are of a superior quality than what I need, they do not come in a large format, and are cost prohibative. I guess What I am looking for is a similar product that will fit my specifications. If you can refer me to someone it would be much appreciated. Harvspec.

That's a really large sheet.

I'm an optics engineer and I'm wondering how you plan to use it. There may be alternatives that don't require such a large sheet.

If you are sure you need something that large, try the following link.

we currently use a product that comes in rolls of 48" x 21'. We apply it to windows. but it is so expensive that only a handful of companies will bear the expense. I'm trying to find a cheaper product, so more people can use it.

Okay... I'm still trying to figure out what your application is, but I suppose it's none of my business.

You probably ought to be buying bulk rolls of polarizing material from Asia. Here's a US contact for Sanritz, one of the world's leading manufacturers of polarizing film. I've worked with the Pres of the US distributor, Mr. Nakamura. He might be able to help you.

Why not try window film? It comes in various light transmission percentages, widths to 5 feet (1.5 meters) and is sold in 100 ft (30 meter) rolls. I recommend www.johnsonwindowfilms.com Check the web site for light transmission, reflectivity, and other data.
