Hardfacing vs Cladding

Can anyone please tell me what is the difference between hardfacing and cladding of material? They look like the same thing to me?

Hardfacing is applying material of the same type, usually by adding welding filler metal to the wear surface of the object. Used on earthmoving equipment on high wear surfaces. It looks like a bunch of weld beads laid down side by side.

Cladding is the application of a dissimilar metal to the surface of another metal.

Explosive cladding and co-extrusion are two methods of cladding.

USA quarters and dimes and copper core clad with Ni.
