All transformers are not star /delta or delta /star. You may probably mentioned here distribution transformers. There are diffenrent types of primary and secondary winding configuration. This place is not enough to explain all about.Better you may read about transformers.

Dear Sir,

Please read the following book- Design and Performance of AC machines

written by Mr.M.G.Say which was my Bible during my graduate course.

Secondly do not degrade yourself and all others by putting such a basic ( silly)

question.Your question should enlighten those who read the answers.

Who said? Transformer primary & secondary connections can be star or delta or zig zag. Each connection has its own advantages & disadvantages. I suggest you go thro J & P Transformer Book, which is considered to be the "Bible" on transformers.
