We use jumpers to ground de-energized sections of transmission lines when doing line maintenance.

For example, to feed a new or another 33KVA power line running perpendicular to an existing 33KVA power line, you use jumper cables.

cheers,

You use them to start your service truck from another service truck because your battery died when you left the headlights on while working up on the power transmission line...

Dear Sir,

Have you noticed that the power carrying conductor ( in Tower Line

Transmission) ends in insulating bushings and this is the case for all towers. Then

to connect the conductor from one tower to another we use a connecting piece

and this is called as a JUMPER in electrical terms.

jumper conductors are used to maintain continuity by connecting the line after an angle tower
