i) What are the pre-commissioning tests on various types of electrical equipment?

ii) What are the National/International Standards for the same?

iii) What should be the tolerances on the test results?

iv) What about the documnetation?

v) How to write test reports/commissioning reports?

vi) An understnading of the name plate details of the equipment would help.

Although I don't know of an official study guide for electrical equipment commissioning, you may explore the archived articles of the InterNational Electrical Testing Association (NETA), which have a variety of interesting and informative articles regarding commissioning, testing, and maintaining electrical systems. See the following link:

http://www.netaworld.org/netaworld-journal/archived-articles

Pay special attention to the Tech Quizzes - NETA uses them as study material for electrical technicians preparing to take their exams for NETA certification. You could also visit their tab on Certification, which refers to their ANSI/NETA ETT Standard for Certification of Electrical Testing Technicians, and their Bookstore for literature including the ANSI/NETA Standard for Acceptance Testing Specification if you can afford to purchase it.
