Restart or Shutdown PC After Updates

What if i shutdown instead of restart my PC after updates installed ?

I have had a few (rare) instances where an update/install did not complete 100% until a full power-down cycle occurred. Most of the time, the standard "soft" restart is sufficient

Full power-down restart should not hurt anything, but it does take more time (at least on my pc).

I assume this is a Windoze box.

The updates will complete the install on the next restart.

Nothing. It will simply finish the updating process at your next start up.
