Electronically controlled variable valves?

02/21/2007 2:11 PM

Hi... I have an inventive idea that requires several small electronically controlled valves to restrict or fully stop the flow oil with the approximate viscosity of 10W40 motor oil.

I am guessing the maximum pressure they would have to resist would be about 5 bar. Its size must not be greater than approximately 15mm dia.

Does anyone know of such an 'off the shelf' device? ...Regards, JD

Yes, the ON - OFF valves are commonly called solenoid valves, or solenoid-operated valves, and those that can vary flow smoothly are usually called proportional control valves. Search via Global spec and google.
