If I were to disperse unvulcanized synthetic rubber, nitrile or fluorocarbon, in an organic solvent, do they retain original properties when molding after having evaporated the solvent at room temperature.
Not necessarily. Sometimes chemical reactions will occur between the material and solvent that will irreversibly change the properties of the material (think dissolving elemental sodium or potassium in water). When this happens, generally speaking the material will become hardened and brittle as well as perforated.
