Best Way To Prepare For MCTS

06/23/2010 12:39 AM

Hi,

I want to write the microsoft's MCTS exams for dotnet 2.0. Can anyone suggest me useful books? I am not a total noob as far as dot net is concerned. I have come across sites offering dumps and practice exams for mcts. Are they useful?

Dumps are just good for practice when you are solid on the concepts. Do not rely on them entirely to help you pass the exam. Also , the best resources is MSDN itself. Try getting more information here : http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/certification/mcts.aspx , and also dig through MSDN for more details. You can also use www.4shared.com to find any relevant material too. Amazon has tons of books on the subject, but the best way to pass the exam is to start coding in 2.0. Btw, .NET 4.0 version is out now as well, and it has great new capabilities. You might want to take a look at that as well.

Thanks for the info. I will take a look at .net 4.0. But i don't know whether there are exam centres that offer MCTS exam for .net 4.0 where i live. BTW i live in india. There are not even many centres which offer good coaching in .net 2.0.
