Connection between GRP Pipeline and Rigid Structure

06/28/2010 5:52 PM

I'd like to know about the reason of using short grp pipes for connection grp pipeline to rigid structure (2*DN -2M max , 1*DN-1M - min).

is it possible to use 3 meter GRP pipe length or more to connect pipeline to the rigid structure.

If you use DIN8061/8062 standard GRP pipe you can indeed have the following available lengths:

Class C 130psig (9 bar) - 1" to 8" dia - Upto 6m long standard stock

Class E 217psig (15 bar) - 3/8" to 4" dia - From 3m to 6m standard stock

Durapipe are a good source of a wide variety of standard GRP/ABS pipe and fittings; for further details use the link: durapipe.co.uk

Hope this is of use to you.

off the top of my head i would say to electrically isolate the pipe in case something goes wrong electrically. also to reduce static flow, to avoid the pipe becoming a lightning conductor, to allow for heat expansion

Do i get a prize ??
