Paint, probably formulated to be used on the inside of water tanks or other vessels. System refers to the method of preparation and application.

It's difficult to tell exactly what you are talking about based on your post, but, if you go to the Sherwin Williams web site, they have an extensive array of industrial coatings, each coating system is described, and includes msds sheets, technical details, etc. Whether you are trying to determine what you have or what you need, you can probably find your answer there.
