I will make a few enquiries, but if your are academically and technically competent, I believe there are government sponsored "exchange" programs to teach North American P & P on a co-op basis - I know this does not enhance immigration possibilities, but give you the practical side of your "education".

I will ask today from our HR division- our industry employs 100s of Project Managers & engineers.

I'd like to ask a question along the same lines. Can any of you tell me if there is a program or file or what ever you'd call the thing that will help you decide style and size of material to use to build steel truss'es. What I'm building is an awning 20' out and 30' wide from my shop ":A" from roof to give cover over the concrete pad out front. I already have aluminum 20 or 22 gauge roof panels. I want to use a small truss with 4 corner post to stop from having forklift trouble while under awning.I'm in South Carolina so a snow load is not a big problem. I worked for a fabrication steel company here in SC. for a few years and have built may steel trusses from angle iron and rebar, however I just fit and welded them, not design them. I can take it guys, if you think I just need to hire a contractor just say so. Thanks before hand for any help,,,, Chuck
