India Voltage

07/07/2010 2:42 AM

Hi,

I am new in this field so I need your help.

Can anyone explain to me why in India generating voltage is 11 KV ?

Is there any technical reason? (Excluding Trasmission loss)

Probably just historical inertia...too late to change it now so why worry?

the earlier answers if you have gone through before wasting Your valuable time &

forum's unvaluable time in putting such questions. Sorry.
