CFM Calculation

i want to know how to calculate CFM based on heat generated. i am designing a unit which will dissipate 60 kw heat, here they are using some formula CFM= (Heat dissipated *1.760)/10 but i couldn't understsnd those numerical constants , can i get a standard formula

Flyingnest. 1 Ton of Refrigeration = 12ooo Btu/hr = 3.5 kw As a Thumb Rule 1 Ton can be achieved by 420 CFM. If your Equipment capacity = 60kw = 60kw/3.5=17.14 Ton CFM requirement = 17.14 (ton)x 420 = 8000 CFM. Regards, Ponds Flyingnest
