Earth Rod Extension

Please how do i extend my earth rods from 3m to say 6m? besides rod lengths of 3m and 1.5m are thy any other lenght variations?

If you buy a standard earth rod (of any length), one of its end is conical while on the other end there are threads to fit a hammer head socket meant only for driving the rod in ground by hammer strike.

Remove the hammer head socket and apply extesion lengths using sockets.

Practically better results are achieved by using earth rods in parallel, minimum seperation criteria between two rod is lenght of the rod itself.

Thanks for your ans.If i'm going to use a 20mm diameter eath rod,i guess the rod coupler size should be 20mm too.how do i get the the size of the earthing connection to the rod if i want to use a U bolt (how are U bolt rated)?
