YnYn Voltage Group Selection for Transformers

Can we select YnYn voltage group for power transfomers

You can select it,

Normally an incomer received by a plant substation is a 3 wire system (In order to reduce the need for the 4th wire for a long distanc which reduce intial cost of investment).Plant needs a 4 wire system (3 phase + neutral).

Inthis case people normally go DYn type transformer.

Inyour case incoming received is a 4 wire system.

hi Guest,

normally YNyn vector group selected if :

- Protection on both HV and LV side required (through impedance or solid ground).

- Transformer to be used for interconnecting unit, in other word, as "box to box" transformer.
