1964 Barber Chair

I have a barber chair that I just aquired. I started taking it apart and came across a problem with removing the handle,(The pump hydralic handle), so that I can take off the plate which I already have un screwed. please help with any suggestions. thank you.

errr, kinda need to know how the handle is joined on... can you post an image? I don't know anything about barber chairs, but if you are using the handle as a lever to turn an axle it's likely to be a close fit over a sprocket and would probably have to be pushed off with some kind of jemmy. It might help to heat it (steam from a kettle would be a good start). I assume you have looked very carefully to check there isn't a little grub screw holding it on.

But send some images and I'm sure plenty of people would love to throw their 2c worth...

Call "pawn Stars" They have a guy that restores just about anything, in fact on one show they had this guy do exactly that, restore a barber chair. After restoration the chair was worth quite a bit of money.

If You never saw the show its on "Discvery channel" and they are located in Las Vegas.
