YOU ARE RUDE! You haven't even attempted to answer the question. I checked one of your other posts and it's the same way. No help, just a link to your company.
There is a commercial section, or don't you know that?
Generally speaking, engineering problems are solved with a particular application in mind.
In the absence of some practical appliction to be solved, you are essentially asking us to write fiction or fantasy, picture if you will:
"It was a dark and stormy night, and they huddled together tightly under their ASTM A 276 type 410 chamber's roof, unable to see the many moons of Jupiter. THe STainless material helped them to ignore for the moment, the nitrous acidity from the Jovian downpour. She was so glad that they had selected A 279, rather than A 479, saving them 203 astm numbers accrued in their ASTM number account. This positive ASTM Number variance meant that instead of ASTM A29, They could upgrade to ASTM A 108 on barstock to make the rod extensions for carbon steel annex."
Sorry folks, I'll stick to non fiction going forward...
"What is the object of the act?" is a relevant question in Engineering as well as Ethics.
What are you trying to do?

Dear Sir,
Tittle of both specifications are giving you the application areas. A276 id for general use and A479 for boiler and pressure vessel application.
