Material Test Reports

Ok ive been working at this company for about a year now and every MTR is located in a filing cabinet which has 10,000 MTR's in it, most are logged in numerical order but the few that are not ,takes hours of searching to find 1 MTR .is there free software out there that will help me simplify this process?

Scan each one in and put the number in the filename.

hi, prepare a excel sheet with material test report number and the specification hope it will be very useful for you to segregate. later when u have time scan the available documents and link to the existing excel sheet using hyperlink option --RK

I think your looking for something like this from Carmel Vision but it's not free. Avian has freeware but I do not know how good it is or if your company will let you install it. Good Luck!

Document Management
