Try "control panel" -" power options" and see if you find it there. Good luck

check for "shutdown help" in dos you will get some idea. If you want some logic like like at certain time, you can write a small program and call system("shutdown -s -t 20"); you can change optional parameters.

Hello, What is your OS? For most of the windows products, they have a feature of scheduled tasks. It is on the Control Panel. Create a BATCH file that instructs the PC to shut down. Then save this batch file in a location that is easy to find. Create a scheduled event with your BATCH file as the executed file and that should do it.

You need to do an internet search for the commands to shut down the computer. Then open notepad, and write the commands. Save it with the suffix ".bat" This will create a batch file. This is pretty basic.

Follow up to my last response. Go to your "scheduled events" on the control panel. Click on "Add Scheduled Task". When asked for the program, choose "browse". Browse to the following directory "C:\WINDOWS\system32" and locate the shutdown.exe. Single click on this file to send it to the name field. DO NOT HIT OPEN! Append the file name and and the following " -s", there is a space before the hyphen. Now, press open. Create a new event with the time and day you want.
