I'm not sure what you are looking for - time wise. If your looking to hire someone permanent, or whether you are just looking to get this particular problem fixed.

If you are looking to just fix this one problem, you should probably contact the manufacturer, or hire a systems integrator in your area.

If you are looking to hire someone permanent, then you might want to try a "head hunter", dice.com, or automationtechies.com

* Usual disclaimer - I have no affiliation or preference, simply have perused their sites, and think they might be able to have the people you need.

Hello, My name is Jack Long. I am a machine technician from Indianapolis. I specialize in servicing automated machinery, primarily for the wood industry, but a CNC is a CNC. (for the most part), If I can be of any assistance to you, please feel free to contact me. First question, to the best of your knowledge, has the machine and the nesting software ever been linked before? Second question, to best of your knowledge, has the machine and the nesting PC ever been linked before? Just from what you said above, I would be inclined to think you have a communications issue. It could be settings in the CNC controller, Nesting PC or even in the type of cable that is used to connect them. Also, you may need a special post processor file to allow the nesting program to create a file that the controller can read. If you are running on a DOS machine, there is even an issue with the COM port if you switch processors. I have taken some time to find the below links for your Burny 5 Controller. They will lead you to the manuals. They request that you complete some forms and return them for access to the information. It is all self explanatory. http://www.burny.com/Burny_5.asp http://www.burny.com/softwareupdates.html Also, a couple other sites, I am sure you may have these. Sigmanest http://www.sigmanest.com/en-us/index.aspx CNC forum site that is great for answers if you have time to search. http://www.cnczone.com I must apologize for not being able to answer you via any way but email. As I cannot work on machinery and provide phone support at the same time. Thanks for understanding. Regards, Jack Long
