Complexity of the Cast and Type of Core

08/23/2010 12:53 PM

What is the relationship between the complexity of the internal shape of the cast and the type of core used - metal or sand for this part? In what cases the complexity of the shapes of internal parts, the type of core does not matter? -- Luigi

Its complex.

Actually that is a pretty good answer.

Someone who understands casting, your design and the requirements/tolerances of your design has to provide the answer.

But, how to determine it roughly, according to some general or main relationships?
