How To Program Analog Output of Kolmorgen Servo Drive

08/30/2010 6:12 AM

I have a Kolmorgen Danaher motion Servostar 670 drive at a cut off unit. I want to install a digital ampere meter to see the current of motor. I have connected the meter at Analog Out 2 but could not program the out put for required function. Can any body help me out?

Really, you want to read the current being applied to a motor and you do not know what you are doing. Did you expect us to tell you how to connect an ammeter or provide a link for you to Google how to do this? Did you think that your drive can produce an analog output that relates the driver's output current by producing a monitor output voltage that tracks the current to now be surprised that the ammeter connected to this voltage reads nothing like the current you expected. Is this really what you are asking? If this is true, put the instruments down. Admit to somebody near you that you don't know what you are doing.

Why do you think the AO needed to be programmed?

How did you attempt to program it? Why did that not work?

Here's the hardware for AO's (pg 67):

What terminals did you put your meter leads on?
What setting was your meter on? What were you measuring?
