I don't have any idea but thank you for identifying this as a student project. This isn't a homework cheat site, but there are lots of helpful people here.

In addition to being honest about being a student it is a good idea to register. Being known as "Guest" isn't the best way to get help.

If this really is a "project" then you should be able to give us more details. What sounds like a homework question will probably be treated as a homework question. If you explain what you are doing and show some work on your project then you will have better chances of getting help.

If you don't provide additional information then we will probably assume that this is a homework question and you want us to do your homework for you.

Probably not the answer the professor will grade; rather, an existential answer : It's intended purpose. Its potential impact on human safety. Its cost. Then you can do the engineering. Milo

As MIlo says, the first question is always what are you trying to acheive?
Is it a bank as a back stop to catch stray arrows or is it to hold back the North sea, the requirements are somewhat different.
You don't want and rock in the first one as it will snap the points off your arrows.

Nothin like a quick dip in liquid oxygen ( or a bow and arrow post from del the cat) to crack me up!

That said embankment stays firmly where it is. It is all about location-location-location (in that the embankment should not move or fall down). I cannot think of anything more important.
