Fire Proof Fabric

Anyone know where I can get kevlar fabric (fire proof)?

Google Kevlar, an aramid developed by DuPont. But for a "fire proof" fabric I think you want Nomex. This is the fabric most commonly used for fire fighter's protective gear. The two are similar, but Nomex is much easier to work with, and should be readily available. Kevlar is more for "bullet proof" applications.

That is it. GA for gringogreg.

Nomex is also an aramid fiber, a cousin to Kevlar. Note there is no "Fire Proof" fabric. Nomex is flame resistant.

Another may be Teijinconex, a softer fiber.
