Earth Mat design for 132kvS/S

Sir,

What is the procedure to design the eath mat for 132KV sub staion & what parameters are required to complete the design procedure.

Please don't misguide. For an 132 kV Switchyard, the solution suggested by you (60 x 60 Plate) would definitely not help. The GPR would be so high as to cause unacceptable Step & Touch Potentials.

You can check standing surface insulation by using Gossen Metrawatt Profitest Mtech installation tester. Select a MAT after the test which have required insulation and again do the test for confirmation.

one cannot reply in short form . You have to under go rigorous exercise with guidance of IEEE80 as suggested by Electrical Expert 65.
