IDE #0 Error

09/12/2010 5:38 PM

My Toshiba laptop boots up with this message. "IDE #0 ERROR." Searching the internet gives me a suggestion that I might be able to change the HD to IDE #1 on the motherboard. Are there any other suggestions? Thanks.

IDE #0 ERROR

This error indicates that the HDD itself has a failure.

your thoughts to change it to IDE #1 on the mobo will result in no more CDROM/DVD drive either.

the message will read then IDE #1 ERROR

replace the HDD

TTYL ciao.. T L
