Number of parts produced in one minute x 60 will give you the hourly rate.

Really now, waht did you expect?

There are a lot of factors involved. First, what is the speed that the press is capable of in strokes per minute. Next consider how the work is to be fed to the machine, by hand or by some kind of automatic feed system. What is the limiting factor? Finally what is the percentage of time that the press can be productive. How much time taken by material handling ,work breaks, maintenance; time that the press is not productive.

Depending on the current & future business availabilty, decide the pay back period in years.

Then spread the total value of press (including interest cost) on those many years.

Then depending on the time you run this press (8 hrs/16 hrs) X no . of days you operate the press /year.find out the total hrs / year.

Divide yearly cost by no of hrs/year.
