Solar Swimming Pool Motor & Heating

I have a weekly school in Fort Myers FLORIDA for building Solar Panels and we are working to put Swimming Pool motors on Solar energy. Has anyone done this ?

What are the basic specs of the motor, 110V 1/2 horse..or?? Are you wanting to run it exclusively from the solar array via inverter or will you have a battery bank?

Yes ,i think i need a 2000 watt inverter to run the regular AC motor
