Bootloader for Microcontroller

Hello. What is a bootloader for microcontroller? Is it already inbuilt when we buy a new microcontroller? Thank you in advance.

A bootloader is a function of the microcontroller. I can't think of a device that doesn't have some basic form of a bootloader built in. Anytime a microcontroller is reset, it executes some form of instruction location routine. How else would it get started with doing what it is supposed to do?
