I have OMRON E3S-CL2 transistorized output photo-eye at box making machine
for detecting the boxes. The max speed of machine is 450box/min and so the
photo-eye max output frequency is almost 8HZ. Now photo-eye is creating a
problem and I want to replace it with Hokoyu PLX-701R relay output type. This
photo-eye (Hokoyu) has a property that it detects the SS sheet and when any kind of
object passes under it, it output highs. this is a very good property which I
want to use at machine where the different colored jobs disturbs the OMRON
photo-eye. But I am not certain if relay can operate properly at 8HZ and also
the life of its contacts is also an issue.
Any idea?
