DIN Pressure Vessel

09/30/2010 4:30 AM

Can anybody help me how to do pressure vessel evaluation using DIN standard? We are quite familiar with ASME and pressure vessel handbook, but not with DIN standards. How do i compute for the Minimum Allowable Thickness, Maximum Allowable Working Pressure, corrosion rate and remaining life using DIN standard. Thanks in advance.

Is there still a DIN standard? I thought pressure vessels (in the EU) had to comply with European standards.

But whichever, why not get hold of the standard and read it? It won't come cheap, though.

Cheers.........Codey

Look up DIN EN 13445.

These days DIN standards and EN standards are often the same.
