10/12/2010 9:36 AM

Hi Everyone,

I am now working in a Train Project in the MidEast and I am looking for some materials on test procedure for the Wheel Flange Lubricator on a train. I have searched the net but has not found a satisfactory procedure.#

Thank you in advance for sharing . . .

Use Google and enter "rail lubricator" or "rail lubrication". You will find quite a bit of useful information.

From what I know of British practice the flange lubricators are usually track mounted near to where they are needed. In normal running on good track the flange shouldn't touch the rail. There is an excellent British Rail (as it was then) showing this.
