I'd ask a real chemical engineer if I were you. Or, the supplier of your chemicals.

Or, do some independent research, instead of asking strangers to do your work for you.

Also, it is unwise to publish your address. It will be erased by Admin.

Although it's heavily implied that you shouldn't post your email (the potential spam could be atrocious), it's often times not deleted like phone numbers are. Of course, I'm not sure why anyone would want to post their emails with all the people advertising round here sometimes.

Hello Guest,

Before I get started here, I should disclaim that 75%+ of this information just came from combing through Google entries and papers written through manufacturers of the agents. A little poking around never hurts

As you probably know, as a chem. eng., Hydrazin(+e) is highly toxic and dangerously unstable, and is usually handled while in solution for safety reasons. For a while, most manufacturers utilized this as a fouling and corrosion inhibator, but after the introduction oft he more efficient and safer Helamin, a great number switched to using that substance instead.

Helamin does not significantly decompose even at high temperature and pressure employed in the modern sub-critical -water power-plant boilers. Helamin treatment can be successfully employed in steam generators, warm and hot water piping systems, superheaters, as well as cooling circuits to mitigate some of the difficult problems of the corrosion and fouling. However, cation conductivity of water tends to increase with the use of Helamin, but that sounds like it's something you want?

Anyways, here's a very interesting .pdf on the subject. Give it a skim through and you'll be much more knowledgeable for the experience (probably).
