There are original (expencive)spare parts on the way to repare the Gallagher fence generator. No schematic diagram was found on the Internet!

May be late in the day but I am sure that you can protect the electric fence unit from lightning strikes in the future.

Think that this involves an earth stake connected to the fence line but with a small air gap so that the fence unit 5,000 to 7,500 volts cannot jump the gap but lightning can and finds the easiest path to earth instead of going through the fence unit and blowing / frying the circuit board and components.

Most of the fence lines have copper elements and so are very attractive to a lightning bolt looking for an easy path to earth.

Hi,

I am trying to repair a M800 as well.

It has one circuit board as on below picture

My question is: what are the 9 big yellow components?

Marked as resistors (R55 example) and also text 910V.

They have visable damage and resistance measures open circuit.

I have also repaired this M800 some years ago and have drawn up a most of the circuit diagram. So if someone is interested let me know, I can send the sketch.
