DG Requirement for Tunnel Project

10/21/2010 1:42 AM

Hello

I want to know that how we calculate the capacity of DG requried in a tunnel project of 9 km, considering breakdown of 1 of the DG., having boomers of 700 kw, shotcrete of 300 kw, haggloader of 110 kw, ventilation fan of 1000 kw, my total loads comes out to be 2682 kw.

Nowhere near enough info to answer this question properly. Given the limited data you offered, 2 DG sets of 3MW each should be in the ball park.

Hi

I am having a total load of 2682 kw. now, i want to see what capacity of DG i need on my site.

Like, 1000 KVA * 2 + 750 KVA * 2 + 500 KVA * 2 = 4500 KVA

Assuming 1 dg on stand-by.

What all factors we consider while doing calculation.
