Epoxy Resin for Glass Fiber Applications

Hello, can anyone help me with synthesis of epoxy resin which is used with glass fibers in composites??? what are raw materials, process and equipments etc.?

Either hire a chemist or go to the hardware store and buy some.

"raw materials, process and equipments etc." are as varied as the types of epoxy.

And, what makes you think you need epoxy? Most people use polyester resin when making glass layups.

The equipment required to produce epoxy resins is VERY expensive. The chemicals are noxious and the reactions must be closely controlled.

To get an idea of the reactions involved, you might want to perform "the nylon rope trick". Following the instructions, you will actually produce polyamide resin. This is not suitable for glass cloth impregnation, but is an interesting experiment to perform.
