How Does a Ball Mill Work?

10/27/2010 11:10 PM

they said the ball mill work, but i don't think it,can you change it

Working Principle:
The ball mill is a horizontal rotating device transmitted by the outer gear. The materials are transferred to the grinding chamber through the quill shaft uniformly. There are ladder liner and ripple liner and different specifications of steel balls in the chamber. The centrifugal force caused by rotation of barrel brings the steel balls to a certain height and impact and grind the materials. The ground materials are discharged through the discharging board thus the grinding process is finished.

As was pointed out here by CR4 member JohnDG:

"C.2, stopped ball. Stop grinding long ball and materials should be empty of blood."

If this is not the case, then the operation:

"A.1, check whether someone within hazardous locations."

- was not performed correctly.

I find this profound advice, and demonstrates the importance of not skipping a step.

The OP is right. I've been watching this thing for a day now, and the particles are still the same size.

It's quite simple the grinding media is too large for the product.

After reading the link in Doorman's post the major fault in the start up procedure was to make sure the OP was in the mill!
