11/04/2010 8:15 AM

Hi guys .

Long time we don't have contact.

I'm looking for adjustable time delay relay 12VDC for automotive applications.

It means that the dimmenssions must be small .

Any suggestiosn????

Can you repurpose an intermittent windshield wiper switch?

Fixed output...

Do you mean a one-shot timer? Rather than keep guessing, can you tell us more exactly just what you wish to accomplish? What is/are the time cycle, the start and stop mechanism, operate with car running or not... those sort of things.

Its a time delay relay ( on delay ) 12 vdc , 0 to 120 or 180 seconds adjustable delay time .

I prefer dimmenssions similar to common automotive relays.

I think RDGRNR has the right idea. Get a base for it, mount where it will not get wet, and continue with your project.

[edit] "... but its to expensive." price limitation in place would be a useful piece of information. How much is "to expensive"?

In Google I searched "automotive time delay relay" and came up with tons of hits. Now you just need to pick whether it is normally open contacts or normally closed. Or both.

Try under that search title.

I have some from Amprite, at www.amprite.com. I have been buying them from Allied.

These are delay on break. I also use some delay on start ones from NCC. National Controls Corp. 800-323-2593. Also from Allied. These are 2"x 2" x.5" they are low current (1-2A) so use load carrying relays with them. The on delay is cheap. The off delay is about $30. Try www.alliedelect.com. Good luck.

Sign of the times. Since this can be used for a car bomb, I'm not replying.
