You should use the cheapest style you can find. You clearly don't want to do any work to understand your field, so continue to be true to yourself. Do nothing for a base. Just take all of your investors money for the project and then declare bankruptcy. Just make sure that all of the money was funneled into dummy corporations for analytical services and other non-tangible expenses. The only non-tangible result that should be real will be the low life lawyer you will need to hire to set up this shell game.

I'm just curious, where did you get your schooling? Asking a public blog site to do one of the most critical decisions of a massive project seems wrong to me.

Maybe I'm jumping the gun here. You maybe just a twelve year old trying to speed up your writing on a report. Well, the type and style of offshore foundation should be chosen by an engineering firm familiar with the area and depth of the water that you intend to install a deep water tower. In some cases they will choose to drop the tower all the way to the bottom. (How deep is deep?) In some cases they may only have cement anchors to the bottom and undersea anchor cables to the base of tower. (Just like a buoy.) Probably you would have something completely different because I've never done structural work in deep water.

I'd use something strong, waterproof and really long. Maybe a bunch of 'em.

For a research subject, you might want to investigate underwater supports for deep water wind farms.

What do the oil companies use? Hint: Don't tell them it's for wind power, they might not want to help you with your homework.

Good Luck.
