We are facing problem of hard face failure which has material of Tungsten Carbide. It cracks during cavitation. We can not avoid cavitation during plant load fluctuations. Seal is a single spring seal handeling molten urea. The balance face is of Silicon Carbide.
Can we use combination of SS-316 as hard face with Silicon carbide as soft face?
