Flat Plate Magnet

11/14/2010 5:26 AM

I want to buy a plate magnet, dimension 2 foot x 1 feet.

Is it easy to make such a permanent magnet?

If not, can I make a "portable temporary magnet" with a few hours service per day. And how to make it?

Thanks

Courtesy of Dimet. It's called an electromagnet. But, I see that kvsridhar has provided a better answer to the OP.
