Stress

11/17/2010 9:05 AM

A material has shear stress limit of 100MN/m2, will the material fail.

how can i possibly know if it will fail. ihave got no other data to compare it to. in the previous section of the question i hv torque applied, angle of twist, radius, lenght, shear stress but how can i relate this to the endurance of the material. could someone please help me out ASAP.

Thank you so very much.
