Kvar Loss of a Transformer

Pls help me to know clearly about Kvar loss of a transformer. As i know transformer itself is inductive machine. so i think it will contribute to increase Kvar.But total generated Kvar of 7 parallely connected generator is 73 kvar,that is fedded into transformer's (step up 15kv/132kv) primary & the Kvar at secondary is 59. as it is inductive machine Kvar at secondary should have had a value more than 73,i think.

but practically why it is not,rather it (Kvar) is lower in secondery than primary,pls explain me to clear my concept.

kVAR can be inductive and capacitive. In general, kVAR indicates inductive kVAR.

You mentioned "As i know transformer itself is inductive machine. So i think it will contribute to increase Kvar". It is wrong concept. The inductive machines, such as Transformer and Motors, consume inductive kVAR (though transformers are not considered as electrical loads but it requires magnetizing current and hence acts as the inductive loads). While the equipment such as generators, synchronous condensers and capacitors supply inductive kVAR.

kVA = sq. root of (KVA sq. + kW sq.), this simply means that your so-called KVAR loss in your transformer is infact part of the transformer's capacity itself..you may call it as a loss since it is consuming power reactively but still this has effect on your tansformers loadability...

You left out an R, which might confuse someone:

kVA = sq. root of (kVAR sq. + kW sq.)
