The clutch does not engage or disengage gears. You do this using your hand on the gear shift lever.

First though, it is good practice to engage the clutch with your foot (the one not being used to control the accelerator pedal).

Don't do any of this while "Googling" as you will quickly run out of hands and/or feet thereby creating a dangerous situation for you and those who happen to be in close proximity.
