Files are not stored in computer memory. Deleting them makes no difference.

The cell phone is another story. Not enough information provided.

OP talks about regaining memory (perhaps RAM), but posters seem to be addressing HD space. Apples to oranges. Do you know the difference?

Guest needs reading glasses.

Question 1

what happened to files that are deleted from a computer's recycle bin or cell phone?

Question 2
How can we get the complete memory after deletion?

The second question is ambiguous when taken in conjunction with the first.

You make about as much sense as the OP. I acually read the entire post before providing my insightful comment.

Interesting that you edited #6 after my comment. I preferred the first draft.

Guess you are going for the "nice guy" image.

Files on a computer that have been deleted are still there on the hard disc unless the have been over written. Deleting just frees up the space to be written on. Unless you have software for security reasons that over write them as they have been deleted. These files can be reclaimed with software. Its best to try to reclaim them as soon as possible they can be over written at anytime.

Deleted files are not actually deleted / wiped ..the address of the file is "erased" and the space occupied by the file is marked as available for writing on ( over writing on ) ... files that have been deleted and not over written can often be retrieved.
