Site Tests for Switchyard Equipment

What are the test, that should be carried out on switchyard equipments

During the installation stage at site?

Equipments like LA, CB, WT, Earthing, Transformer, Battery,CT, CVT, HT Panels, ACDB, DC DB etc.

No tests are required during installation stage. All are before and after the installation only.

Get a copy of the latest version of the InterNational Electrical Testing Association's Acceptance Testing Specification (ANSI/NETA 2009 Standard for Acceptance Testing). It tells you what are required and optional tests for all varieties of electrical apparatus. You can buy it at their web site:

There is a wonderful publication by the Tamilnadu Electrical Installation Engineers' Association Grade 'A' - which lists out all the post-installation inspection & testing to be done on all the equipment that you have mentioned. Please try procuring it.
