As a current military contractor I would first suggest having a close look at the applicable standards for a start to ensure you can meet the requirements

http://www.everyspec.com/MIL-SPECS/MIL+SPECS+(MIL-A)/MIL-A-12560H_10354/

Is this for a government (Army or private security) tender or contract you are looking at obtaining? If so then further relevant information should be included in the tender, including additional requirements you company has to meet regarding quality control, standards, security clearance (where applicable).

If this is just for general interest then the link above covers the standard in detail. You could also try a Google or Wikipedia search for more general information.

Was this what you were after?

Jack - Navy not Army (yes I know I am driving a tank)
